GIANNI SCHICCHI

In 2016 LyrOpera launched “Opera on Wheels” or “L’Opera on Wheels”. This project chooses short or shortened versions of famous operas and stages them in a compact and easily toured way. The idea is to bring operas to where the people are. The shows can be staged in large theaters, small concert halls, or even someone’s living room. The first opera staged in this format is Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi. The Gala Premier was shown in Tanghalan Aurelio Tolentino at the CCP. Regular run at the Spotlight theater in Ayala’s Circuit Makati. Directed by LyrOpera co-founder Sherwin Sozon.
